In History

Books I am reading
Starting a book by G. A. Henty called "Beric the Briton". I am having my daughter read these for History lessons. The main character is fictitious. But, the facts are correct in everything else. She seems to like them well enough to read them for school. I am 2 books behind her. I also need to read the "Young Carthanian". She has already started "For the Temple". Her fourth book by Henty.

Honesty

My summary of Psalms 51 is:

There is no where that I can go and hide my sin from God. He knows my ever thought, deed, and hiding place. He knows if I am being honest in my confession of my sin. I know that He just doesn't want words but a truly honest confessing from me. I will not be right with my soul unless I am honest in confessing it. Knowing that with God's unfailing love for me that He will fully forgive me.

Verse 17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."

Blood of Heaven

I have started reading this book and am finding it hard to put down. It is sort of a sci-fi type book.
Some people believe they have found a religious artifact of Christ with his blood. So what do they do with it. They start experimenting on it.
Now they are ready to test it on a human. But not just the ordinary guy. Oh, no, they choose to use a vile mad loving multi-killer who is sitting on death row.
What do they think will happen? Why are things going wrong with the lab animals they tested this on?
Will they human guinea pig be transformed or have they unleashed something they are not prepared for?
This is part one of a trilogy.

Where can I hide....?

My summary of Psalms 139 is:

Where can I hide that God is not there? What can I say that God does not already know? What can I do that God has not planed and ordained for me? He created my inmost being, formed my body. God is omniscience, omnipresent, sovereign, and creator of all.

Verse 14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well".
