The Pope, Who was the First One?
Not being Catholic I really don't know much about the Pope. So I have gotten a book on understanding the beliefs and practices of Roman Catholics. It is by John H. Armstrong. "A View of Rome" Is the title of the book.
His explainations of the doctrines of The Mass; The Pope; The Seven Sacraments; Mary; The Saints; Salvation; Death; and Afterlife are explained in a way that a simpleton like me can understand.
I had wondered when the First Pope came into being. I don't agree with the Roman Catholic Church but I do have a better understanding of it.
